MEDS TO WATCH OUT FOR WITH HAIR EXTENSION WEAR

Have you ever been asked about medication prior to having extensions installed?

I would almost bet that you haven't! Let's talk about why meds and extensions are important.

One of the last things on your mind when you want extensions is the importance of medications you may be taking.

Most people aren't aware of this importance unless it's happened to them previously from a medication, or unless their doctor makes a point of acknowledging the side effect of hair loss. Like, why would a hairdresser ask you about your medical history? Especially for hair extensions?

It's super important to at least be aware of medications and hair loss. Of course, not everyone will always experience every side effect of every drug, but I find that it's very helpful to be aware!

Medications often affect us in ways that we don't think about - whether it's for acne, thyroid, ulcers, and more!

Many times, hair loss is not the biggest side effect to worry about with certain meds, and albeit important, it's often over looked. It's definitely something you want to consider prior to investing in hair extensions. Many medications are known to cause excess hair shedding or even hair loss, which is a big factor when you're considering hair extensions!

As always, consult your doctor about anything you may have questions on in regards to your medications. This information is simply provided for reference in relation to the hair extension  services I provide.
