how to prepare for YOUR EXTENSION consultATION

  • IF YOU HAVENT SENT US PHOTOS YET... START HERE!

    the photos you send us matter! we’re looking for:

    - 2 photos of your hair: one photo each of both the back and sides of your hair (for the back, you can definitely be a bathroom mirror photo!

    We want to gauge what your natural hair density looks like. Take your photos in full view of your head and in natural light. No filters, please!

    - 2 or 3 inspiration photos of styles, lengths, and colors you like. It helps to see a photo of the overall look you are wanting to achieve with your hair

  • BRING

    Yourself! It’s important that we take this intentional time together. We do not have space for additional guests during your visit, so please attend your appointment solo.

    Helpful: bring a photo of the products you are currently using for your hair care at home!

  • WEAR YOUR HAIR

    Come to your appointment with clean, dry hair. (no more than 48h old!) Style your hair as you normally wear it. If you wear your hair curly and wish to wear curly hair extensions, please wear your hair curly!

    We ask that your hair is clean and free of tinted powders or sprays so that we can accurately gauge the color and density of your natural hair.

    Our goal is to see your natural hair, and how it sits on your frame.

    Our best advice is to wear comfortable, plain clothes without bulky hoods or necklines. Wearing a plain top helps to let us see a contrasting visual of your hair.

  • EVERYTHING ELSE TO KNOW

    You don’t need to know exactly what you are looking for before booking! This is precisely what the consultation is for.

    What is helpful is the observations you make on a daily basis about your hair.

    Do you struggle with styling your hair because you don’t like the way it looks when it’s down?
    Do you like your hair only when it’s styled a specific way?

    Considering the specifics that you notice about your own hair is very helpful in creating solutions for you.

  • HOW LONG IS THE CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT?

    • We reserve up to 60 minutes for consultation visits depending on your specific needs, so we'll have plenty of time to chat.

    • Our system automatically sends confirmation texts and appointment reminders.

  • We ask that you wear your hair clean and dry, styled as you usually wear your hair - to your consultation appointment.

    • We ask that your hair is clean and dry (clean within 24-48h) so we can accurately gauge your hair color without the interference of excess oils that can alter your hair’s color and appearance

    • If you normally wear your hair curly, and would like to wear it curly with extensions, please wear your hair curly to your consultation visit

    WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR CONSULTATION

    • We suggest that you avoid wearing sweatshirts with hoods or bulky sweaters (that can't be removed) to your visit.

    • This is so we can accurately gauge where your hair naturally sits or "lives" on your frame. If needed, we do have a guest robe that you are able to change into as well.

    • At your consultation, we’ll schedule any and all appointments that you might need, including any of your relevant extension appointments!

    Once we have determined an overall plan for your hair, we'll plan out the appropriate timing, your home care routine, and the overall service investment for you.

  • We understand life happens. Guests may reschedule through the confirmation link in their email or reminder text.

    We require a minimum notice of 48 hours for appointment changes to best accommodate the needs for our guests and schedule.

    Your consultation retainer is transferable to rescheduled visits outside of 48 hours from your appointment.
