We can add hair extensions to nearly any length of hair!
Your hair needs to be long enough to cover the attachments of the hair extensions.
A sufficient amount of length needed for most lengthening applications is 4" all the way around the head.
The longer your hair is to start with, the easier it is to add length that blends! -
Not necessarily! Fine hair has varying degrees, and does require special consideration for hair extensions.
Regardless of the method chosen, it must be customized to match your natural density to avoid additional weight and tension on finer hair types.

If your hair condition is compromised at the scalp, you will need to wait until healthy hair has grown out of the head. Salon Maintenance: If you choose to wear hair extensions past the recommended point, or are not willing to adhere to recommended hair care practices, extensions may not be the best choice for you. -

In a majority of circumstances, yes! Your method and natural hair type will ultimately determine your home care options.
Extensions will always require special attention with home care product use, hair coloring, and heat stying.
Most application methods allow for your hair to be colored as usual. After your initial application, hair extension applications require a waiting period of around 2 weeks after your extensions are first applied.
However, hair extensions themselves may be colored only minimally, and the hair cannot be adjusted more than 1 or 2 levels.
Altering the color of extensions that have already been chemically altered has risks and may only be executed on a minimal basis to preserve the integrity and appearance of the hair extensions.

There is something for everyone when it comes to hair extensions and additions, and each person will require different solutions for their hair needs.
Each hair type and texture will require special attention to detail to best accommodate and blend with your natural hair.
Most hair extensions will have a natural "body" wave - Texture that often is in the shape of an "S." Some hair extension brands lean to be naturally straight or have more of a curl pattern.
Many hair extension methods allow for texture customization to accommodate varying patterns of natural curls. However, not all hair extension shades and brands allow for customization with texture so please inquire about your specific needs and questions!
